Heyo!

So after a few plurk discussions, the want to start journaling again a la Livejounal came up a few different places, and this idea was born!

We ask if you participate, that you attempt to post 1-3 time a week, and comment as much as possible to help jump start personal journaling here on dreamwidth. And if you use your journal already (or if you start from here) we'd love a link back to this meme! The more the merrier!

At the moment? I've been looking a lot at 1980s anime. Everything just seems so huge and ambitious (although I've just been watching mecha so that's probably sample bias). Plus I love all the shaky zoom and stilted voice acting. There's something about the more realistic character designs I find super appealing too.

And there's this scene from Robotech. I could watch the full scene all day. And the part where he pulls her into the cockpit and they experience a moment of weightlessness. So good.

It's the mix of realism and camp that feels so genuine, and sometimes that's the kind of thing I need.

Recently I've been on a roll with Russian animation. It's also a mix of realism and over-the-top acting that I find nostalgic - maybe I should post about the next one I watch.

What do you post| My journal is 90% fandom, with occasional bits of RL stuff. I comment more than I post, but I've been trying to post more often lately. When I do post, it's often about things I've read or played or watched recently.
Posting habits| Generally short-ish fandom posts or casual canon-related about whatever happens to catch my eye. I have a few mainstay fandoms, but I post about a lot of others too.
Warnings| I... don't think any apply? I ship a lot, I guess, and I might occasionally post links to NSFW fic.

What do you post| Well. I literally haven't posted in over three years, so it could be a whole new ballgame? But probably not. I talk about fandomy things and real life things and probably art and writing things and all that junk.
Posting habits| I would like to get in the habit of a couple times of week. I find that I write more when I... write more. And that is something I'm really trying to do.
Warnings| I fuckin love swear words. I can be cryptic and melodramatic when I'm moody. I will probably post and talk about my cats a lot.

Tell us any interesting thing about you! So, when I was like maybe eight years old, I got in trouble for who-knows-what one afternoon. To get me out of her way, my mom made me go outside and play for a few hours and in some weird ass not-tantrum, instead of playing like a normal kid, I sat on my back porch and taught myself how to say the alphabet backwards all afternoon? To this very day however, I know the alphabet backwards probably as well as I know it forwards, and I'm just like... Sarah? Why were you so weird as a kid?

Hello there! I am getting back to this late, but I am definitely adding, then. :D (Archetypes are fun though. I just find them really interesting. Particularly things where you have a measure of say -- if you choose a house and identify enough with your MBTI to list it, that says something interesting, y'know? ...Or maybe that's just me being ridiculous. XD)
